Porchlight Protection helps homeowners request quotes for mortgage protection and other life insurance. We are not an insurance company, a mortgage lender, a bank, or a government agency. Insurance products are offered through licensed insurance agents.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you request a quote, we collect:

Contact details: first and last name, phone number, and email address.
Quote details: your state, reason for looking, approximate mortgage balance, who needs coverage, age, tobacco use, whether you have a history of certain health conditions, and your preferred time to be contacted.
Your consent to be contacted, including the date, time, and exact wording you agreed to.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the date and time of your visit, the page or ad that referred you (such as campaign tags in the link), and similar technical information.

3. How we use your information

To prepare your quote and have a licensed insurance agent contact you about it.
To contact you by phone, text message, and email about your request and related insurance products, as you consented.
To keep records of your consent and our communications.
To operate, secure, and improve the Site and measure how well our advertising works.
To comply with laws, regulations, and legal requests, and to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

Licensed insurance agents who work with us, so they can prepare your quote and contact you.
Insurance carriers, only if you choose to apply for coverage.
Service providers that help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, phone and text messaging, and customer-management software. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights and safety of you, us, or others.
Business transfers, if our business is merged, sold, or reorganized, subject to this Privacy Policy.

5. Cookies and advertising tools

The Site may use cookies, pixels, and similar tools, including advertising measurement tools from Meta Platforms, to understand how visitors find and use the Site and how our ads perform. 6. SMS / text messaging terms

If you provide your mobile number and agree on our quote form, you consent to receive text messages from Porchlight Protection and its licensed insurance agents about your insurance quote and related insurance products. Messages may be sent using automated technology.

Message frequency varies based on your request and conversation.
Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
To stop messages, reply STOP at any time. You'll receive one final message confirming you've been unsubscribed.
For help, reply HELP or email support@porchlightprotection.com.
Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

7. Your choices

Calls: Tell the agent on any call that you don't want further calls.
Texts: Reply STOP.
Email: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
Anything else: Email support@porchlightprotection.com and we'll handle your request.

You may revoke your consent to be contacted at any time by any reasonable means.

8. California privacy rights and Notice at Collection

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

The Site is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date above.
